The European Union has pledged €11.5 billion ($13.3 billion) to invest in South Africa to develop clean energy, transport infrastructure, and healthcare projects. The investment aims to accelerate South Africa's transition to low-carbon, renewable energy, away from coal-fired power stations. However, resistance within Eskom and Washington's withdrawal from the Just Energy Transition Partnership initiative have hindered South Africa's efforts....
