West Wits Mining has secured a new prospecting right that supports the long-term expansion of its Qala Shallows underground gold mine in South Africa's Witwatersrand Basin. The mine, which began production in October 2025, targets an initial 70,000 ounces of gold annually over a 12-year "sweet spot," with a broader resource base of 5.025 million ounces. A definitive feasibility study indicates strong financial returns, including a post-tax free cash flow of US$983 million.
