The Simandou project in Guinea, a major mining and infrastructure venture, has reached a milestone with the arrival of the first custom locomotives for the new 670-kilometer TransGuinean railway. This railway will not only transport high-grade iron ore from the mines to the coast but also, for the first time, connect eastern and western Guinea, promising to be a catalyst for national trade and economic growth. A key feature of the project is that after a 35-year joint venture operation, full ownership of this transformative infrastructure will be transferred to the Government of Guinea, establishing it as a long-term national asset....
