Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has called for the strengthening of monitoring and management of the state's mineral resources, emphasizing the use of modern technology and artificial intelligence to identify new mineral blocks. Speaking during a review meeting, Sharma highlighted the need to curb illegal mining activities and improve revenue collection from the sector.

The Chief Minister outlined a strategy focused on transparent mineral auctions, inter-departmental coordination, and promoting M‑sand—manufactured sand—as a sustainable alternative to river sand, under the framework of the state’s M‑Sand Policy 2024. Officials discussed operational innovations including GPS‑enabled vehicles and AI integration to enhance oversight and ensure environmental compliance.

The measures aim to position Rajasthan as a leader in the mining sector, boosting economic growth, local employment, and regional development through responsible and technology‑driven resource management.
