A major China Geological Survey project in Saudi Arabia has produced 4,600 geochemical maps, valued at $260 million, to identify promising mining areas. The five-year initiative has also completed 75 detailed geological maps and established the kingdom's first digital core repository. These efforts have revealed new mineralization points, significantly advancing Saudi Arabia's mineral exploration capabilities. The project supports the broader goal of creating a 3D visualization of the kingdom's subsurface resources by 2030.
