The projection, attributed to Mordor Intelligence, indicates a $9.59 billion increase in the value of the regional logistics market over the five-year period. The growth is being driven by the expansion of e-commerce, manufacturing, urbanisation and regional trade, which are increasing demand for facilities and systems for the movement, storage and distribution of goods. The development is expected to increase the need for warehousing capacity, logistics technology and more efficient supply chain operations as businesses expand their distribution networks across West Africa.

Against this backdrop, West Africa Warehousing & Logistics Expo is scheduled to hold in Lagos from April 6 to 8, 2027, with the organisers positioning the event around developments in warehousing, intralogistics and supply chain operations.

The expo organized by dmg events will focus on areas including warehouse automation, storage systems, inventory management, identification and labelling, loading and distribution. The organisers said the expansion of logistics parks, industrial hubs and free zones across West Africa is also creating demand for systems that can improve efficiency, resilience and operational performance.

He said the company would draw on its experience in warehousing and logistics events to bring industry participants together. The expo will be held alongside HVACR Nigeria, with the organisers identifying cold storage and climate-controlled infrastructure as areas increasingly linked to the expansion of distribution centres, industrial facilities and other logistics infrastructure.

Denton noted that demand for such infrastructure is rising as businesses seek to maintain product integrity, improve energy efficiency and ensure reliable operations. The event is expected to bring together suppliers, buyers and professionals from the logistics, manufacturing, retail and related sectors. The organisers said the exhibition would provide a platform for businesses to examine developments in warehousing, storage, inventory management and distribution as the regional logistics market expands.
