Zimbabwe has finalized a $455 million, 15-year partnership with India's Jindal Africa to rehabilitate the 920 MW Hwange coal-fired power plant. This urgent move addresses a severe energy crisis caused by the collapse of hydroelectric production at the Kariba Dam due to drought.
