Egypt, Canada Discuss Petroleum, Mining Cooperation
Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi met with the Canadian Ambassador to Cairo Ulric Shannon who recently assumed his duties, and the accompanying delegation.
The meeting tackled latest developments in the efforts to modernize the mining system in Egypt and the activities of Canadian companies operating in Egypt in the fields of oil, gas and mining were discussed.
Additionally, the meeting reviewed ways to enhance cooperation and exchange of expertise in various fields of petroleum and mining work, as well as investment opportunities available to Canadian companies wishing to invest in the fields of petroleum and mining in Egypt.
