Turkey plans to sign a specific offshore energy exploration agreement with Syria in 2026 to assess potential resources along the Syrian coast, following a broader energy cooperation framework signed earlier this year. Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar noted that seismic research may be conducted, though drilling is not guaranteed.
