Australian miner Predictive Discovery and Canada's Robex Resources are merging in a $1.55 billion all-share deal to create a new mid-tier gold producer focused on West Africa. The combined entity will unite two key projects in Guinea that are only 30 km apart, aiming for an annual output exceeding 400,000 ounces by 2029. This consolidation, driven by record gold prices, allows Robex's soon-to-be-producing Kiniero mine to fund the development of Predictive's larger Bankan project. The new company will be listed in Sydney and pursue a dual listing in Canada, with the deal backed by Robex's major shareholders. The merger is expected to be finalized by the end of this year, pending necessary approvals....
