Perenti Wins A$1.1B Gold Mining Contract in Burkina Faso

Mining services group Perenti has secured a A$1.1 billion contract to deliver underground mining operations at the Mana gold complex in Burkina Faso.
The contract was awarded to Perenti’s subsidiary Underground Mining Services Burkina Faso (UMS) by Semafo Burkina Faso, a subsidiary of Endeavour Mining, operator of the Mana gold complex.
“This contract is consistent with our guidance for the financial year 2025 and will contribute strongly to the financial year 2026 and beyond. Our team continually delivers exceptional value for our clients, and this is clearly demonstrated by this long-term contract for expanded operations at the Mana complex,” stated Mark Norwell, Managing Director and CEO, Perenti.
The five-year contract will see UMS oversee mining operations at the Siou and Wona areas of the high-grade Mana gold complex, which is situated in the Houndé Greenstone Belt of Burkina Faso. Services will include underground development, production and related mining services. Operations will be conducted through Africa Underground Mining Services Burkina Faso, a joint venture between Perenti and mining equipment group Dynamic Mining Supply.
