A satellite-based exploration case study in South Africa successfully identified high-confidence chromite targets using multispectral data and a multi-year time series to filter out environmental noise. The methodology integrated spectral, terrain, and structural data into a proprietary Chrome Potential Index (CPI) to objectively rank exploration zones. The analysis pinpointed six anomalies with an estimated total potential of 600,000 tonnes of chrome-bearing material and provided depth estimates for drilling. The project demonstrates how remote sensing technology can reduce early-stage exploration risk and cost by providing data-driven targeting before expensive field work begins....
