Nigeria Ships First Cargo of New Obodo Crude Blend
Nigeria has exported the first cargo of its newly introduced Obodo crude oil blend, according to the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC).
The cargo, destined for Germany, was produced and exported by Conoil Producing Limited under a production sharing contract with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited.
Gbenga Komolafe, CEO, NUPRC, said the new blend reflects ongoing efforts to enhance innovation and maximize energy utilization to attract foreign investment.
The Obodo crude blend represents a strategic step towards diversifying Nigeria ’s crude oil export portfolio, which includes Forcados, Escravos, and Bonga blends.
