Egypt’s EGAS, New Fortress Energy Partner on Second FSRU
The Egyptian Natural Gas Company (EGAS) has signed an agreement with global infrastructure firm New Fortress Energy to deploy a second Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU).
The FSRU will have a regasification capacity of up to 750 million cubic feet per day and storage for 160,000 cubic meters of LNG. Located at the SUMED terminal in Ain Sokhna, the facility is scheduled for operation in the second half of 2025, supplying the national grid to meet growing electricity and gas needs during peak summer periods.
