Senegal: Sangomar Achieves 3.8M-Barrel Output
Senegal’s offshore Sangomar oil field has produced and sold 3.8 million barrels of crude oil since operations began in early-2025.
Announced by the country’s Ministry of Energy, Petroleum and Mines this week, four cargoes – SAN027, SAN028, SAN029 AND SAN030 – were lifted and sold to the international market.
According to the Ministry, Sangomar’s production forecast for 2025 is approximately 30.53 million barrels of crude oil.
Situated approximately 100km offshore Dakar, the Sangomar oil field is operated by exploration and production company Woodside Energy with an 82% stake alongside Senegal’s state-owned Petrosen, which holds the remaining 18% interest.
