Congo Forecasts Average Oil Revenue of $1.97B Between 2026 and 2028

The Republic of Congo expects to generate average annual oil revenue of $1.97 billion from 2026 to 2028, according to a cabinet meeting report. (No name, I added the link to the report below) The revenue projection is based on an anticipated increase in oil production volumes and moderate crude price estimates. National oil output is expected to reach 101.5 million barrels in 2026, rise to 106.6 million barrels in 2027 and reach 111.9 million barrels in 2028.
The projections also take into account expected benchmark prices for Congolese crude, set at $61.3 per barrel in 2026, $61.7 in 2027, and $63.7 in 2028.
In addition to oil revenues, the government projects steady growth in non-oil tax revenues. These are forecast to grow at an average annual rate of 3.9% over the same period. Non-oil tax income is expected to rise from $1.85 billion in 2026 to $1.92 billion in 2027 and $1.99 billion in 2028.
The forecasted revenues are part of Congo’s broader economic planning framework for the medium term, with the government aiming to balance public finances while maintaining investment in key sectors.
