CTC Global to Increase Power Transmission Capacity in Congo

Power grid manufacturer CTC Global plans to increase the capacity of existing live electricity transmission lines between Brazzaville and Pointe-Noire in the Republic of Congo.. According to Carl Frederick Ulrich, Vice President of CTC Global, the company aims to double the transmission capacity between the cities using an advanced A3C conductor cable.
Representing a cost-effective solution to developing a new transmission line, the strategy is set to address recurring power outages in the country.
A second solution, proposed by CTC Global’s partner Elektra Power, involves replacing the live cables without interrupting the electricity supply using a high-capacity conductor. Replacing the cables is expected to take between 9 and 12 months.
