Kenya: Spenomatic Group Opens Solar Learning Centre At Sarit Centre
SpenoMatic Group has opened a Solar Interactive Center at Sarit Centre in Westlands, stepping up efforts to promote solar adoption amid rising electricity costs and growing demand for reliable power alternatives.
Located on the mall's lower ground floor, the facility is designed as a public learning space where visitors can explore how solar systems work and assess their potential for homes and businesses.
The centre features practical demonstrations and guided sessions aimed at demystifying renewable energy technology.
"This is a great opportunity to bring solar energy closer to everyday people," said Nikita Surty of SpenoMatic Home Solutions.
"Solar power is no longer just a technical concept - it's a practical, affordable and impactful solution for homes, businesses and communities."
The launch comes at a time when solar uptake is gaining momentum alongside Kenya's broader renewable energy mix, which already includes geothermal, wind and hydropower.
Surty said the company hopes the interactive approach will translate awareness into action.
"Africa has some of the highest solar potential in the world, yet much of it remains untapped," she said.
"This centre allows visitors to see and understand how solar systems can lower energy costs, improve energy security and contribute to environmental protection."
