Creating sustainability in data centres’ energy consumption
Bryce Allan, head of sustainability at Teraco Data Environments, points out that cloud computing and data delivery have very quickly become foundational to modern economies, “with data centres at the core of vital infrastructure powering the online world”.
“Nowhere is this more critical than in Sub-Saharan Africa where connectivity hubs like those in South Africa serve as the heart of the region’s digital transformation,” says Allan.
Amidst this rise in energy demand from data centres, he sees Teraco’s narrative as a compelling story of sustainability and a commitment to doing more with less.
The Teraco team team will be at the C&I Energy+Storage Summit from 4-5 November at the Maslow Hotel in Sandton, Johannesburg.
