Valterra Platinum interim profit surges on higher output, prices
South Africa's Valterra Platinum VALJ.J on Wednesday posted a surge in half-year profit, supported by stronger platinum group metals (PGM) prices as well as higher output and sales volumes.
Valterra, the world's top platinum producer by value, said its headline earnings per share was at 82.02 rand in the six months ended June 30, up 1,634 % from 4.73 rand the previous period.
