EPC Mineex Sénégal, a subsidiary of EPC Groupe, has signed a five-year contract to supply explosives and blasting services at Endeavour Mining's Sabodala gold mine in Senegal, a deal valued at about $11.2 million a year at full run rate.

Under the agreement, EPC Mineex Sénégal will manage the integrated blasting value chain across the wider Sabodala mining complex, one of West Africa's largest gold mining operations. The company is set to produce and deliver nearly 45,000 tonnes of explosives over the life of the contract, while operating and maintaining an on-site emulsion plant and managing raw material inventory for the operation.

The scope of work covers the full blasting process, including loading, initiation and blasting operations, supported by specialized equipment, infrastructure and dedicated underground teams. EPC Mineex Sénégal will build a new emulsion manufacturing plant at the mine and deploy two mobile explosives manufacturing units, along with five automated charging units for underground repumping, underscoring the scale of resources being mobilized to sustain blasting activity across the complex.

EPC Mineex Sénégal engineers and technicians will also provide post-blast analysis and optimization using software developed by EPC Groupe. The company said the service is designed to measure blasting performance, improve operational efficiency and manage associated environmental impacts.

Rokhaya Sall, managing director of EPC Mineex Sénégal, said the contract reflected the relevance of the company's integrated model, which combines technical expertise, operational excellence, innovation and close customer relationships. "This new contract is a recognition of the commitment and professionalism of our teams in Senegal," Sall said, adding that the company is "particularly proud to support Sabodala Gold Operations over the long term."

Sall said the work also contributes to developing local skills and creating sustainable value for communities around the mine.

EPC Groupe said the contract supports Senegal's goal of increasing local content in its mining sector, and demonstrates the company's ability to mobilize expertise for mining projects across Africa.

The award follows a similar contract EPC Groupe secured in July to supply explosives and related services at the Boto gold mine in eastern Senegal, extending the company's footprint in the country's gold mining industry.
