Industrial policy key to boosting domestic mining support services...

Ghana must implement a robust industrial strategy to establish itself as a hub for mining support services in the West Africa subregion, according to Dr. Charles Ofori, Strategic Lead for Climate Change and Energy Transition at the Africa Centre for Energy Policy (ACEP).
In his views on the need for strategic reforms, Dr. Ofori stated that a good industrial policy will provide stakeholders with a framework to encourage development and ensure long-term growth in the mining support services sector.
While acknowledging that stakeholders must work together, he emphasized that industrial strategy is crucial to Ghana becoming a leading provider of mining support services in Africa.
