In a bid to attract international investment and grow its mining sector's GDP contribution to 6% by 2030, Egypt is undertaking significant modernization. Key to this effort are a new pilot license portal for 20-day approvals and a comprehensive Digital Mining Platform, both launching in 2025. These initiatives are supported by a new law creating an independent mining authority to reduce bureaucracy and promote sustainable, commercial management. Egypt will present these strategic advancements at the African Mining Week conference in Cape Town in October 2025....
