Andrada drills 1.5% lithium oxide hits at Namibia's Lithium Ridge

Andrada Mining released new drilling results this week showing high-grade lithium in several pegmatites at its Lithium Ridge project in Namibia, alongside tin and tantalum mineralization, the London-listed company said.

Drilling at the project included 23 holes that encountered lithium-bearing material as deep as 275 meters, the company said. Several of the pegmatites returned grades above 1.5% lithium oxide. The company confirmed that spodumene is the dominant lithium mineral in the pegmatites.

Andrada also reported that pegmatites located outside the project's previously defined mineralized trend carried substantial lithium grades of their own, adding to the overall resource potential at Lithium Ridge.

Andrada Chief Executive Officer Anthony Viljoen said: "This fifth batch of results demonstrates the presence of high-grade intersections confirming that we're still uncovering the full potential of the Lithium Ridge licence."

The company said the combination of lithium with tin and tantalum in the same pegmatites means material from Lithium Ridge can be run through metallurgical infrastructure Andrada already operates in the area, rather than requiring a standalone processing circuit to be built.

Lithium Ridge is being advanced in partnership with SQM International, a subsidiary of Chile's Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile. The arrangement with the Chilean producer underpins the project's path toward development.

Beyond Lithium Ridge, Andrada operates the Uis tin mine in Namibia and is separately developing the Brandberg West project together with partner BWCAM.
