UAE fuel prices set for February 2026
The UAE Fuel Price Committee has approved petrol and diesel prices for February 2026, setting new pump rates following a notable easing in fuel costs at the start of the year.
Under the approved pricing, diesel will be sold at AED2.52 per litre in February. Super 98 has been set at AED2.45 per litre, Special 95 at AED2.33 per litre and E-Plus 91 at AED2.26 per litre.
The announcement follows a significant downward adjustment in January, which marked the largest monthly reduction in fuel prices in more than a year. At the start of 2026, pump prices fell across all categories, reversing the upward and often volatile pricing trend seen through much of 2025.
In January, E-Plus 91 was priced at AED2.34 per litre, down from AED2.51 in December, while diesel declined to AED2.55 per litre from AED2.85. Special 95 dropped from AED2.58 to AED2.42 per litre, and Super 98 fell from AED2.70 to AED2.53 per litre.
Oil & Gas Middle East previously reported that the January reductions represented a clear shift in fuel pricing dynamics, offering temporary relief to consumers after a year marked by higher and fluctuating pump prices driven by global oil market movements.
Since the reintroduction of fuel price deregulation in March 2021, following a temporary freeze during the Covid-19 pandemic, petrol prices in the UAE have been adjusted on a monthly basis in line with international crude oil prices. As a result, local fuel costs continue to reflect global supply and demand dynamics, as well as broader geopolitical developments.
With oil markets entering 2026 amid uncertainty around supply growth, geopolitical risk and demand expectations, motorists and businesses remain closely attuned to price movements and whether the recent downward momentum can be sustained in the months ahead.
