TY Logistics to tackle supply chain inefficiencies
TY Logistics Park FZE has commissioned a state-of-the-art contract logistics facility in Lagos’s Lekki Free Zone, aimed at addressing Nigeria’s chronic supply chain inefficiencies and positioning the country as a competitive hub for regional trade in West Africa. The 29,000 square meter, Grade-A free zone facility features advanced warehousing with over 45,000 pallet positions and a fully automated Warehouse Management System (WMS) that ensures real-time inventory control and error-free order processing.
Chairman Theo Danjuma Jr. highlighted the park’s strategic location near the Lekki Deep Sea Port and future international airport, which enables streamlined import-export operations, duty deferment, and tax optimization. He emphasized that the company’s focus extends beyond infrastructure to deep partnership, aiming to act as an extension of clients’ supply chains across fast-moving consumer goods, electronics, pharmaceuticals, and other industries.
CEO Arno van der Merwe stated that the facility was built to eliminate costly logistical delays, providing a centralized, systems-driven logistics engine for Nigeria and the wider region. The launch, attended by dignitaries including Gen. Theophilus Danjuma and representatives of the Lagos State Governor, signifies a new operational benchmark for warehousing and distribution in West Africa. With client onboarding underway, the park is set to commence full commercial operations.
