IAN Partners with DMEGC Solar to Bring High-Efficiency Panels to GCC Markets

By: Solar quarter

UAE-based renewable energy company IAN (part of AG Holding) has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with China's DMEGC Solar, marking the Chinese manufacturer's official entry into the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) solar market. Under the deal, IAN will distribute DMEGC Solar’s high-efficiency solar panels across the UAE and other GCC countries from its Dubai hub, targeting the region’s $6.53 billion (Dh24 billion) solar PV market.

Abdulrahman Al Baidhaei, Chairman of AG Holding, stated the partnership aligns with the company’s commitment to accelerating clean energy adoption by providing advanced technologies to regional clients. Leon Lu, General Manager of Global Sales at DMEGC Solar, noted that IAN’s strong regional presence makes it an ideal partner for expanding into the Gulf.

DMEGC Solar, a Bloomberg Tier 1 PV module manufacturer and one of PVTECH’s top suppliers, offers residential, commercial, and utility-scale solar solutions. The collaboration comes as the UAE continues to invest heavily in solar under its National Energy Strategy 2030, including major projects like the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park and large-scale solar-battery developments by Masdar. This partnership aims to boost renewable energy adoption and sustainable technology deployment across the GCC.
