Dubai-based carrier flydubai has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ENOC Group at the Dubai Airshow 2025, establishing a framework to unlock potential business opportunities and significantly deepen the existing strategic aviation fuel supply agreement between the two entities, according to a news report by Zawya.

The aviation market in the Middle East and Africa is projected to grow from $34.4 billion in 2025 to $44.7 billion by 2030, highlighting the importance of secure and reliable fuel supply for regional carriers.

Under the MoU, ENOC Group, through its specialised aviation fuels division ENOC Aviation, will continue supporting flydubai’s strategic growth plans. Nawaf Alawadhi, Vice President of Procurement & Contracts at flydubai, said the agreement reinforces the airline’s commitment to expanding passenger connectivity and operations across new and underserved destinations.

Since its launch in 2009, flydubai has grown into a key player in the UAE’s aviation industry, now serving more than 135 destinations in 57 countries with a modern Boeing 737 fleet. The airline expects its fleet to exceed 95 aircraft by the end of 2025, with planned deliveries of over 120 Boeing 737 MAX and 30 Boeing 787 aircraft over the next decade.

Burhan Al Hashemi, Managing Director at ENOC Commercial and International Sales, said the MoU marks another milestone for ENOC Aviation in supporting the growth of national carriers. He added that ENOC’s global supply network, advanced infrastructure, and technical expertise will ensure operational continuity and efficiency as flydubai continues to expand its network. This year, flydubai has introduced 12 new destinations across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, offering passengers more convenient travel options.

The new MoU will cover fueling services for flydubai’s flights, leveraging ENOC Aviation’s extensive supply network and providing joint supply chain assessments along with technical and operational support. The agreement continues the 15-year partnership between the two entities, ensuring that flydubai’s expanding operations at Dubai’s international hub remain seamlessly supplied.
