Flyadeal Opens Expanded Operations Control Centre

By: Construction Business news

Saudi low-cost carrier flyadeal has officially inaugurated a new, significantly larger Integrated Operations Control Centre (IOCC) at its Jeddah headquarters. The opening ceremony was officiated by His Excellency Engr. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Transport and Logistics Services and Chairman of the airline's parent company, Saudia Group. He was joined by Saudia Group's Director General, His Excellency Engr. Ibrahim Al-Omar, and flyadeal's CEO, Steven Greenway.

The new standalone facility has a four times greater capacity than its predecessor, providing more operational monitoring screens and space to accommodate a growing team in line with the airline's expansion. As the operational nerve centre, the IOCC is responsible for managing the airline's schedule, dispatching flights, coordinating crew and maintenance, and responding to disruptions while prioritizing safety and punctuality.

This investment comes as flyadeal marks significant growth milestones, including consistently operating up to 250 daily flights, carrying over 10 million annual passengers, and maintaining the best On-Time Performance for a Middle Eastern low-cost carrier for 11 consecutive months. The airline plans to add Madinah as its fourth operational base in Saudi Arabia starting January 2026 and aims to grow its network to over 100 cities and its fleet to more than 100 aircraft by 2030.
