His professional history also includes significant roles at companies such as DB Schenker in Indonesia, dnata in Singapore, and Cathay Pacific Airways.

Shabnum Dawood, Country Manager of DHL Global Forwarding South Africa, highlighted the strategic importance of Cheong's appointment. She noted that his deep knowledge of Asian trade corridors and experience in dynamic markets will be crucial for expanding the company's regional capabilities and supporting customers with agile, sustainable logistics solutions.
