Akobo records its strongest operational quarter yet
The company, which owns and operates the Segele mine, in Ethiopia, produced about 21.5 kg of gold at an average grade of 22.2 g/t.
Beyond the fourth quarter, Segele produced about 8 kg of gold in January and 7.5 kg in February, totalling 15.5 kg at an average grade of 25 g/t.
Cash and unsold gold held stood at about $6-million at the end of February.
Civil works for the vertical shaft headgear foundation were completed; temporary winch and headgear installation was completed; and shaft sinking activities restarted.
