Sibanye-Stillwater to list on South Africa's A2X exchange from Oct 6

By: OrePulse

Sibanye-Stillwater will add a secondary listing on South Africa's A2X exchange effective October 6, 2026, alongside its existing listings on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange, A2X said.

The platinum group metals and gold producer's market capitalization stood at 117 billion rand when A2X announced the listing. A2X, which operates as a complementary exchange to the JSE, said the listing carries no cost to Sibanye-Stillwater.

A2X Chief Executive Officer Kevin Brady said the exchange was "delighted to welcome Sibanye-Stillwater to A2X." He added: "This listing reflects the growing confidence issuers have in A2X as a credible, cost-effective secondary market."

The Sibanye-Stillwater listing brings A2X's total number of tradable securities to 167, among them 31 firms in the JSE's Top 40 benchmark whose combined value tops 12 trillion rand, the exchange said. Other mining companies already trading on A2X include Harmony Gold, Impala Platinum, Gold Fields and AngloGold Ashanti.

Sibanye-Stillwater produces platinum group metals and gold, and also mines nickel, chrome, copper and battery metals, with operations across Southern Africa, North America, Europe and Australia.

JPMorgan Chase and UBS Group AG have each recently disclosed shareholdings of more than 5% in Sibanye-Stillwater, according to regulatory filings cited by A2X.
