Crushing and screening contract awarded at Theta Gold

By: Mining.com

NMS Africa has won the manufacturing contract at Theta Gold Mines’ (ASX:TGM) TGME Gold Project.

NMS will be responsible for building a three-stage crushing and screening plant at the site, 370km northeast of Johannesburg in South Africa.

The plant will include screening circuits as well as ore feed and primary, secondary, and tertiary crushing equipment. The site is estimated to contain 6.1 million ounces of gold.

Work is expected to last for 125 days, and the plant could be commissioned as early as the last quarter of 2026. There is also potential for additional work as the project expands.

“Secondary and tertiary crushing and screening equipment form part of the ore feed equipment for the plant,” Theta Chairman Bill Guy says.

“All continuing construction activities at the site are progressing on budget. The TGME Gold Plant is still on track for commissioning… with first gold being poured quarter one 2027,” he adds.

The company will next focus on financing the new gold processing plant.

Theta Gold is an advanced gold development company with assets mostly in the Eastern Transvaal goldfields of South Africa.
