A consortium plans to launch a green shipping corridor by 2029, using ammonia-fueled vessels to transport iron ore from South Africa's Saldanha Bay to Rotterdam. The phased project will first use European bunkering infrastructure before developing Saldanha into a green ammonia hub, leveraging global emissions regulations to create a commercially viable model that could accelerate South Africa's hydrogen economy and establish a blueprint for decarbonized global trade....
