Newmont Announces Sale of its Interest in Orla Mining Ltd....

Newmont Corporation has sold 43 million shares of Orla Mining Ltd. for approximately US$439 million to streamline its equity portfolio. CEO Tom Palmer described the transaction as a means of capital allocation. After the sale, Newmont no longer holds any shares in Orla, which previously constituted about 13.3% of its holdings. Orla’s CEO, Jason Simpson, expressed gratitude for Newmont's support. Newmont will file an early warning report as required by securities laws and may evaluate future investments in Orla based on market conditions....
