At the African Mining Week, Nigeria's Dr. Dele Alake, representing the African Minerals Strategy Group, urged a continental shift from raw mineral exports to becoming a global hub for processing and green industrialization. He emphasized that Africa's critical minerals must now power its own industrial growth, ending the paradox of its resources developing other economies. To realize this vision, Nigeria is exemplifying this shift by promoting local beneficiation, digitizing mining processes, and strengthening its legal framework to attract investment.
