Equatorial Guinea will launch a new oil and gas licensing round in April 2026, offering 24 blocks to counter its steep production decline from 241,000 b/d in 2010 to just 55,000 b/d in 2023. In a related move to bolster its gas sector, the government has agreed on terms with Chevron's Noble Energy to develop the Aseng gas project, involving an initial investment of $690 million. This supports the country's strategy to become a regional gas hub, which also includes a joint pipeline with Nigeria and the development of a major $4.5 billion LNG project....
