AAU, Wollo University Ink Deal with Ministry of Mines to Boost Research and Development

H.E. Minister of Mines Habtamu Tegegne outlined six different projects related to research, capacity building and documentation to be implemented in coordination with the higher education institutions for which the Ministry has committed 733 million birr.
Highlighting the significance of the partnership, the AAU president, Dr Samuel Kifle, said the parties shared a vision to keep the nation at the forefront of key minerals supply as a backbone of the economy.
Working in partnership with the mining industry will help AAU to deliver the skills and innovation vital to realize the potential benefits from the minerals sector to the nation’s economic development, the AAU President further said, adding the partnership aligns with the university’s core mission of sustainable development.
