Zohr Gas Field Boosts Output by 60 Million Cubic Feet Daily

Egypt’s Zohr gas field has increased natural gas production by 60 million cubic feet per day after the successful redrilling of the Zohr-6 well, the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources announced, according to a news report by Zawya.
Following the completion of Zohr-6, drilling operations have commenced at the Zohr-13 well. Engineering studies estimate the new well will add an additional 55 million cubic feet of gas per day, Zawya reported, adding that these drilling activities represent a key step in strengthening Egypt’s natural gas supply system.
The increased output supports domestic production goals and aligns with prior forecasts by the Ministry.
According to Zawya, the ministry also acknowledged its ongoing partnership with Italian operator Eni in managing the Zohr field and implementing agreed development plans.
It emphasised the Egyptian government’s commitment to supporting petroleum sector investments, maximising domestic output, and ensuring energy security and sustainability.
