In Côte d’Ivoire, the Séguéla gold mine produced a total of 115,484 ounces of gold between January and September 2025, according to an operational report released on October 8 by its Canadian operator, Fortuna Mining. The result represents about 78% of the mine’s 2025 production target of 147,000 ounces.

After producing 137,781 ounces in 2024, Fortuna Mining projected this year’s output between 134,000 and 147,000 ounces. With current results, the company said the mine is “on track to exceed the upper end of the guidance,” which would represent an annual increase of at least 6% compared with 2024.

Now in its second full year of operation since commissioning in 2023, Séguéla continues to ramp up production. Fortuna is preparing to bring a new deposit, Sunbird, online by the end of 2025 to strengthen the mine’s output, currently supplied by the Antenna, Ancien, and Koula deposits.

Based on current developments, production is expected to keep rising in 2026, when Fortuna forecasts between 160,000 and 180,000 ounces of gold. The Ivorian government holds a 10% stake in Séguéla, while Fortuna Mining owns the remaining 90%.
