SEWA completes Fujairah gas pipeline relocation

Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) has completed the relocation and adjustment of a strategic gas pipeline in the emirate of Fujairah, under the supervision of the Kalba Department, following the highest safety and quality standards.

According to news agency Zawya, the project aims to enhance the gas network infrastructure and improve operational efficiency. The relocated pipeline measures 4,200 metres in length, has a diameter of 10 inches, and operates at a pressure of 60 bar. The project cost AED8,585,000, while the removal of the old pipeline amounted to AED1,250,000.

Zawya also reported that engineer Yousif Al Hammadi, Director of the Kalba Department at SEWA, said the relocation reflects the authority’s commitment to strengthening natural gas infrastructure in Sharjah and providing sustainable, safe services that meet the demands of both population and urban growth.

He added that the relocated pipeline plays a pivotal role in the natural gas supply network, ensuring effective and stable performance across the system.
