Rushmore Group Advances Khandiza Mine Project

Dubai-based Rushmore Group FZE has announced significant progress in constructing the Vertical Blind Shaft “Ventilating” at the Khandiza Mine, a vital part of Uzbekistan’s national investment agenda. This ambitious project is being executed under a turnkey contract with JSC Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (Almalyk MMC).
Doniyor Kadirov, CEO of Rushmore Group, emphasised the project’s importance, stating, “This project underscores our long-term commitment to high-impact infrastructure across the Central Asian region.” He highlighted the strong collaboration between international and local teams to deliver world-class engineering solutions.
Located in the Sariasiya district of the Surkhandarya region, the project is scheduled for completion over a 48-month timeline. The vertical shaft will serve as a critical component for the mine, providing ventilation, personnel and cargo transport, and an emergency exit. The structure will reach a depth of 570 meters, with a diameter of 7.1 meters, reinforced with a concrete lining for structural integrity.
As the lead coordinator, Rushmore Group FZE oversees comprehensive project management, including stakeholder coordination and subcontractor oversight. The project is executed in close partnership with a designated Uzbek subcontractor, ensuring quality and timely completion.
To maintain the project’s momentum, the Deputy Director of the Permanent Entity (PE) remains on-site at the Khandiza Mine, overseeing daily activities. Regular visits by the Director of the PE ensure strong stakeholder engagement with Almalyk MMC and other partners.
