Robex Pours First Gold at Kiniéro on Schedule and Budget

By: Pear tree

West African gold producer Robex Resources Inc. has poured the first gold at its Kiniéro Gold Project in Guinea, marking a major operational milestone. The first gold bar, weighing 2.64 kilograms (85 oz), was produced on schedule and within budget, following 17 months of construction completed by a team with a track record of six successful builds in 15 years.

The commissioning phase is progressing smoothly, with the processing plant achieving gold recoveries in line with feasibility study expectations. The plant is expected to reach its nameplate production capacity in early Q1 2026. Open-pit mining has commenced at the South Sabali starter pit, with ore stockpiles building ahead of full commercial production.

Robex’s Managing Director and CEO, Matthew Wilcox, stated that the achievement reflects the calibre of the company's team and its strong execution record. He highlighted that this successful delivery underscores the compelling rationale for the proposed merger with Predictive Discovery Ltd., which is developing the nearby Bankan Gold Project in Guinea. The combined entity aims to create a major West African gold mining hub, with the potential for over 400,000 ounces of annual gold production by 2029 from combined resources of approximately 9.5 million ounces.

The project was also completed with an outstanding safety record, having worked nearly 5 million hours without a Lost Time Injury (LTI).
