Orange Money, JUMO to Expand Microcredit Access in Africa

Payment solutions provider Orange Money has partnered with fintech company JUMO to expand access to microcredit across Africa. The partnership will target unbanked individuals through mobile-based financial services.
The collaboration will integrate JUMO’s data analytics and AI with Orange Money’s mobile wallet services to deliver tailored credit solutions. JUMO’s AI analyzes mobile transaction history to assess credit eligibility, while approved loans will be disbursed through the Orange Money wallet.
“We now aim to support our customers in their personal projects and daily challenges. Partnering with JUMO allows us to roll out more services across countries and deliver credit that’s faster, transparent, and better adapted to user needs,” stated Aminata Kane, CEO, Orange Money Group.
Designed to improve financial inclusion by offering accessible credit solutions, the first phase of the microcredit model will be launched by Orange Money in Burkina Faso, followed by Mali and Botswana.
