Mozambique, Zambia to Collaborate on $1.5B Gas Pipeline

Mozambique’s President Daniel Chapo has announced an agreement between the governments of Mozambique and Zambia to cooperate on the development of a $1.5 billion gas pipeline.
The pipeline will facilitate the transport of 3.5 million tons of petroleum products from Beira, Mozambique to Ndola, Zambia. The project will also include the construction of storage infrastructure in both Beira and Ndola.
According to President Chapo, the project is expected to be commissioned within four years.
