Morocco Hosts Second International Forum on Mobility, Transport, and Logistics

The second edition of the International Forum and Expo on Mobility, Transport, and Logistics (LOGITERRE) will take place from October 16 to 18 in Casablanca under the theme “Connectivity: Towards a New Model of South-South Cooperation.”
The announcement was made Wednesday in Casablanca during a press conference held by the event’s organizers: the African Union of Transport and Logistics Organizations (UAOTL) and the Moroccan Association of Intercontinental Road Transport (AMTRI-MAROC).Morocco travel guide
The forum will bring together representatives from more than 40 African countries, positioning itself as a unique platform for dialogue and cooperation. The event notes Morocco’s role as a bridge between continents and its ambition to drive the development of a new African map of mobility and logistics.
Organizers said that this edition will particularly focus on the Royal Initiative for the development of Morocco’s Atlantic coastline, a strategic project providing landlocked Sahel countries with direct access to the Atlantic Ocean, while establishing Morocco as a key logistics hub connecting Africa to the rest of the world.
In a statement to MAP, Mustapha Chaoune, President of UAOTL, explained that the organization’s executive board, representing 38 countries, chose Morocco to host the forum due to the North African country’s significant role in modernizing Africa’s transport and logistics sector.
He added that the second edition reflects Morocco’s ongoing efforts to upgrade this sector across the continent.Morocco travel guide
Adil Bahi, Director of Strategy, Programs, and Transport Coordination at Morocco’s Ministry of Transport and Logistics, emphasized that the forum aims to encourage reflection and dialogue on the key challenges facing transport and logistics.
Ahmed Loukili, President of the forum’s Scientific Committee, noted that discussions will focus on the sector’s major challenges and offer opportunities to propose innovative solutions tailored to Africa’s specific needs.
Beyond its role as an exhibition, LOGITERRE 2025 is designed as a laboratory of ideas and solutions. A Pan-African scientific program will gather experts, researchers, and academics from Africa’s five subregions to develop concrete recommendations to enhance the continent’s competitiveness.
The program will include conferences, roundtables, and high-level dialogues involving policymakers, port and airport authorities, urban planners, and economic actors from over 22 nationalities. The initiative aims to foster collective action and the implementation of practical, locally adapted solutions.Morocco travel guide
Organized by Morocco’s Ministry of Transport and Logistics and Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, LOGITERRE 2025 benefits from the support of the Economic, Social, and Cultural Council of the African Union, in partnership with the Casablanca-Settat Regional Council and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services of the region.
Hosted at the Casablanca International Fair, the forum seeks to strengthen Morocco’s position as a center of logistics excellence and a key actor in South-South cooperation, while placing the country at the heart of a global movement oriented toward sustainability, innovation, and connectivity.
