Ivory Coast: Jinko Solar to Supply $65M Solar Plant
Engineering firm Vinci Energies CI has awarded a contract to solar technology manufacturer Jinko Solar to supply equipment for the Ferké Solar Power Plant in Ivory Coast. The contract covers the provision of 74,644 N-type TopCon Tiger Neo solar modules for the 52.42 MWp project.
Situated on a 70-hectare site in Ferkéssédougou, the facility supports Ivory Coast’s target of raising the share of renewables to 45% of its energy mix by 2030. The $65 million project is expected to generate 90 GWh of electricity annually – enough to power over 370,000 households – and create more than 600 jobs.
Financing for the project includes a €52 million investment from the Emerging Africa Infrastructure Fund and the West African Development Bank.
