This campaign is co-ordinated by the Zambian Association of Manufacturers, and Chikotola Sichizya spoke to C&I Energy+Storage Summit Zambia Programme Manager Babalwa Bungane about one of biggest problems facing manufacturers in the country.

“Many businesses currently are suffering the inconsistency of of power supply which I feel disrupts productivity in an industry such as manufacturing. And some of the quick gains I feel should focus on decentralisation of energy solutions, particularly solar and storage for commercial and industrial users.

“These are scalable, quicker to deploy and I think, do provide an immediate relief,” said Chikotola-Sichizya.

She sees the summit as speaking directly to this intersection of energy and industry in Zambia.
