Global Logistics, Service Providers Join AOG 2025 to Discuss Innovative Tech

Leading logistics firms and service providers have joined this year’s edition of the Angola Oil & Gas (AOG) conference. Taking place September 3-4 in Luanda, the event represents the largest of its kind in the country, uniting the entire oil and gas value chain under broader efforts of driving new investment into Angolan projects. Speakers from NOV, Angoltec, DHL, Copia Group of Companies, Cabship and KAESO Energy Services will lead discussions on innovative technology and oilfield solutions as the country strives to enhance near-term exploration and production.
Houston-based NOV is supporting offshore oil and gas projects in Angola through cutting-edge technology that enhances operational efficiency and reduces emissions. Examples include the deployment of the company’s iNOVaTHERM portable treatment system, which enables operators to treat drilling waste at the source. This reduces environmental impact and operating costs. Solutions such as this exemplify NOVs commitment to driving sustainable offshore operations in Angola. During AOG 2025, Johann Jansen van Rensburg, Director-Sub Saharan Africa at NOV, will share further insight into the company’s services.
Angoltec – specializing in metalworking – has been operating since 2003. The company has a manufacturing facility in Cacuaco, Luanda, producing equipment and solutions primarily for the distribution and retail sectors of the oil and construction industries. At AOG 2025, the company’s Regional Director for Africa Pedro Serrenho will speak on the role these solutions play in Angola.
In the logistics sector, DHL plays an instrumental part in supporting the trade and distribution of Angolan oil and gas products. The company provides a full suite of logistics services across the oil and gas value chain – from upstream to midstream to downstream. Currently, DHL is preparing to extend its barge operations – notably those between Luanda and Cabinda – to include Soyo. Current capacity sits at 400 to 500 tons. At AOG 2025, Egidio Monteiro, CEO: Southern Africa, DHL, will unpack the role logistics providers such as DHL play in Angola’s oil and gas industry.
Copia Group of Companies offers a variety of solutions, from civil construction to logistics to engineering and industrial services. These services support the technical and operational challenges of the country’s oil and gas industry. In tandem, the company is developing infrastructure in the power and renewable energy sectors. Notable projects include the 2,172 MW Caculo Cabaça Hydroelectric Dam – currently under construction, with the first turbine coming online in 2026. Adlison Mangueira Nelumba, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Copia Group of Companies, will share insight into the company’s solutions and investment strategy in Angola.
Celebrating 16 years of operation in 2025, Cabship has strengthened its logistics and supply chain management solutions in recent years under efforts to support Angola’s economic growth. The company is currently looking at acquiring a 50,000 m² construction yard near Malongo in Cabinda, which will enhance fabrication and logistics capabilities in both Cabinda and Soyo in Angola. Additionally, the company is working with Octomar to establish an offshore diving and marine support company. During AOG 2025, Luis Da Silva, General Manager, Cabship, will outline these efforts and how they will support Angola’s oil and gas sector.
KAESO Energy Services has established itself as a strong partner for international operators in Angola, offering services such as well integrity and reservoir optimization. The company’s tailored and cost-effective solutions are designed to improve asset reliability, extend production lifecycles, and reduce operational risks, all while building domestic technical capabilities. Jorge De Morais, General Manager, KAESO Energy Services, will explain the impact of these services during AOG 2025.
AOG is the largest oil and gas event in Angola. Taking place with the full support of the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas; the National Oil, Gas and Biofuels Agency; the Petroleum Derivatives Regulatory Institute; national oil company Sonangol; and the African Energy Chamber; the event is a platform to sign deals and advance Angola’s oil and gas industry.
