DRC, Kazakhstan Sign Mining Cooperation Agreement
The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Kazakhstan have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in the mining and geological sectors.
The agreement was signed by Louis Watum Kabamba, Minister of Mines, DRC and Yersaiyn Nagaspayev, Minister of Industry and Construction, Kazakhstan.
The MoU provides a framework for collaboration in resource exploitation, management and development, with both countries seeking to leverage their mineral potential.
Meanwhile, Minister Kabamba and his Kazakhstani counterpart also held talks on industrialization, technology transfer and local processing of raw materials.
